ICT as a Medium For Advocacy
1. How Information and Communications and Technology (ICT) has transformed the educational methodologies when you were in grade school and now in senior high school.
-In the past, traditional educational methodologies relied heavily on textbooks, chalkboards, and face-to-face interactions between teachers and students. However, with the advent of ICT, there have been significant changes in the way education is delivered and accessed.One major transformation brought about by ICT is the availability of online resources and digital learning platforms. Students now have access to a vast amount of information and educational materials through the internet.
2. Consider the following for comparison.
A. The singing of the national anthem (Form a line, sing the national anthem with conductor)
-When i was in Elementary school we usually formed a straight line based on our heights and stand straight and put our right hand on our chest showing respect and sing the national anthem properly, But now it changes by technology it can be presented online through PowerPoint or Video presentation using YouTube or any digital that you may use and we sing along to the music.
b. Concepts notes.
-With the advent of the internet and ICT, the practice of taking concept notes has also undergone significant transformation. In the past, taking concept notes typically involved using pen and paper. Students or individuals would write down key ideas, definitions, and explanations in a structured format.They would often use bullet points, headings, and subheadings to organize their thoughts and create a visual hierarchy of information.
c.Presentation of Visual Aids.
-The presentation of visual aids has significantly evolved with the integration of ICT.In the past, presenting visual aids often involved physical materials such as posters, charts, diagrams, or props. These materials were typically prepared in advance and displayed during a presentation or lecture. The presenter would manually handle and explain the visual aids, using them to enhance the audience's understanding of the topic.
d. Class Record.
-The use of ICT has greatly transformed the process of maintaining class records. In the past, class records were typically maintained manually using paper-based systems. Teachers would record attendance, grades, assignments, and other relevant information in physical registers or grade books.
e.Class Dismissal.
-ICT can also play a significant role in streamlining the process of class dismissal. With ICT it enables the use of automated attendance systems, such as barcode scanners, RFID cards, or biometric devices. These systems can be employed during class dismissal to quickly and accurately record the departure of students.
f.Assignment and Research.
-ICT revolutionized the way Assignments and research are conducted in educational settings.Now,if you use ICT it provides students with easy access to a vast amount of information through the internet.
